Handnumbered Limited Edtion 1000 copies for RECORD STORE DAY 2016. On 180 gram colored vinyl. The Dictators spat the lyrical disrespect and echoed the smart lipstick wit that David Johansen and the NY Dolls had employed on their home turf. On the surface, here was a similar bunch of sloppy goofballs intent on nothing much apart from avoiding the mundane drivel of the daily grind and poking fun. From 1973 onwards, the band were a swaggering bunch of misfits who d absorbed the American dream and all the trash that goes with it, throwing it all back up in your face. They were the Dolls, the MC5 and The Stooges, they were anything you wanted them to be, but most importantly, they were a punk band a punk band, and they were The Dictators!
