Meet 'The Rebels', Iran's answer to the Rolling Stones. Nothing from the Middle East screams Rock'n'Roll like The Rebels, who's name was derived from their rebellious departure from the typical musical sound scape of Iran.
Their gritty garage rock soars with snotty vocals, while the recording qualities stay true to what fans of the genre would expect. You'd never imagine this came from The Middle East upon first listen, as it could very well pass for lost Ugly Ducklings recordings.
Originals like "Indian Rebels" with its catchy hook and melody, echoed drums and guitar solos, will have you scratching your head in disbelief as to how this sound found itself within Persian record stores in the 60's and 70's.
Still unknown to many, this collection of music will surprise even the biggest record collectors around the world, and is sure to have them salivating for more.
